February Is Here!

As educators entrusted with shaping the hearts and minds of the next generation, Black History Month is an important learning opportunity to bring to our children. To be honest, my prayer is that some day this month won't even be necessary because we truly value the lives, contributions and stories of ALL people. But, until that day that we live in complete shalom as God intended, let's help shape our children's understanding of culture and the value of all by highlighting Black History Month in February. Please don't hesitate to ask me for ideas or suggestions if you're unsure!

Veggie Tales

If you are interested in a portion of a raised bed for your class, would you please indicate on this sheet doc by tomorrow? We'll start allocating dirt, space and seeds for our first round planting. If you'd prefer to work with tables, there's no rush on that sign up. We'll get those constructed soon!

Tulip Time

1st through 4th grade teachers, would you please make a copy of this form for your class and send to your parents for their costume preference in this Tulip Time parade? They received the explanation in the school blog so this should be something they are expecting to see. Please let me know if you have questions! Thank you!

Spring Program

At your next grade level meeting, would you be willing to jot the names of a few articulate, comfortable speakers in our Spring Program line up

Media Morsels

Please take a peek through our latest Media Morsels including the ever popular February Choice Board!

School Librarian Opportunity!

Every had any interest in adding a school library certification to your resume? Wayne State is offering a 15 credit certification course. Take a peek if you're so inclined!

Playscape Dreaming

When you have free moments to peruse a bit, feel free to dream a bit about a playscape a.k.a. play haven for Rose Park! This is step one in the project from our end. Let's take a week to just think, peruse online a bit and dream! Here are some provided for us from the ODC team. Next week we'll have more materials to start to put shape to our thinking! I am so grateful for how entrusted we are, as a Rose Park team, with all of these opportunities to bring innovation, play and the outdoors to the lives of our kids! Thank you for boldly going where few educators have gone before!
