Swimming Lessons

It's go time! Teachers, please plan to help students ride the bus, walk respectfully into the locker room and please plan to watch how our students are navigating this new experience for the first several days. If you have a child who receives tier 3 services, we have arranged to have additional hands (Candace or me) at the pool to support the first two days as well. Once we find the kids becoming more comfortable, we can start to taper off with all hands on deck! 

• 1st Grade: Pick up time 8:45. Arrival time 9:00. Class time 9:15-9:45. Leave HCAC 10:00. Drop off time 10:15
• 2nd Grade: Pick up time 9:45. Arrival time 10:00. Class time 10:15-10:45. Leave HCAC 11:00. Drop off time 11:15
• 4th Grade: Pick up time 10:45. Arrival time 11:00. Class time 11:15-11:45. Leave HCAC 12:00. Drop off time 12:15 Lunch 12:15-12:45
• 3rd Grade: Pick up time 12:20. Arrival time 12:35. Class time 12:50-1:20. Leave HCAC 1:35. Drop off time 1:50

We have some VERY generous supporters who are incredibly enthused and grateful for our gradual growth into our Rose Park Ranch! In an effort to support your work AND create new play experiences for our students, dollars have been raised to build a beautiful outdoor playscape on our playground. This playscape will be constructed by the ODC playscape team. This playscape, I'm told, will be comparable to the Window on the Waterfront scape. More details forthcoming! Thank you for pressing forward with our ranch work and supporting each other! We're on a steep learning curve with LOAD of grace together! 

Staff Meeting

What?! Already?! Yep. We will have our next staff meeting on Wednesday, Feb 1. It might feel like it's popping up a little quickly because...well...that's just the nature of staff meetings 😅 and we moved the date back in January. This meeting will take place in our nice and toasty greenhouse! Bring a device and I'll meetcha out there!

Spirit Week

KFB Week (Helpful Hack: in the lower righthand corner you can speed Kyle's explanation up a bit and still understand him!)

50 schools will be partnering with Kids Food Basket this year during their KFB week which will be March 20-24th. Guess who's going to be one of the partners! Thanks to our innovative SI second graders, WE ARE!!! A few things for you to know right now (and we'll touch on this during our staff meeting) March is go orange month! Orange is the color for childhood hunger awareness. We will ORANGE OUT on March 24 along with 50 other schools! More details will be coming soon!
