We're GROWING!

Yes! You read that subject line correctly! Seriously! Who grows during a pandemic! Rose Park does! That's who! In the past two weeks we've had Dash and Wren Kaiser join us in second and first grade respectively, Allie Koning joined us in third grade, Victoria Herrera moved from HCSync to in person in kindergarten, and little Gianna Gonzales will be joining us in Perla's 3s class beginning on Tuesday! Praise God for a growing family at Rose Park! Thank you, friends, for all you persist in to make Rose Park become a home to your children. Word is spreading. You are loved!!

Welcome, Dash and Wrenny!

Virtual Encore Learning Plans

We've talked through several scenarios for encore lessons if we need to move to remote learning. The decision is that our encore teachers will provide a K-2 and 3-5 (if applicable) lesson for our students via email. This link will be sent to Carla/Laura. They will send the lessons along with chapel on Wednesdays via a power announcement. This will follow similarly to what we did last year. Let me know, please, if you have questions.

iPad Connectivity at Student Homes

A few students have moved to virtual learning recently and we are discovering some connectivity issues at home. If you have a student who asks you to troubleshoot connectivity issues, give this method from Charlie a whirl.

Kicking Up Some Festive Fun

It’s almost time to deck the halls of Rose Park to celebrate Christmas...and this year...we’d like to invite you to help our students get into the Christmas spirit by decorating yourself!  Next week, the ESS staff will be out and about with a bag of Christmas earrings.  You’ll blindly pick a pair that will serve as inspiration for your festive Christmas outfit/look that you’ll wear on Monday, November 30 (the Monday after Thanksgiving break!).  We hope this is a fun way to welcome our students back from break and get us all in the Christmas spirit.  AND...there may be prizes for these festive outfits! Participation is optional...but as they say...the more the merrier! ;)  Any questions?  Ask Lydia or Jodi Gillmore.

Christmas Around the World

Some conversation and planning is starting to take place for this school-wide learning event! Thank you for thinking this through. Some of you have even tapped into your own families for the cultural experience. Great idea! I miss the days when we used to be able to sit around a table, eat lunch and jaw about life. That would offer a great time to talk through plans just to stay somewhat calibrated. I wonder, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, rather than calling a meeting for a 'share out' of your plans thus far, would you be willing to provide rudimentary notes on this doc? The purpose is by NO means to 'one up' anybody. Rather, this will provide a means to gather new ideas, pick someone's brain who has a unique idea that tickles you, or just to calibrate your own plans. If you would be so kind, could you jot your notes here
