Sunshine!

Isn't the sunshine glorious!? I understand we're in for a record warm weekend! What a gift given all of the swirling emotions and happenings in our world. I pray you each have time to set your device down and enjoy our Creator outside this weekend! 

Building Security

Just a friendly reminder that we need to keep all doors locked even during recess. Please keep your key cards handy at all times. The only exception is the 2nd/3rd grade door. There is no key pad at this location. We'll use the doorframe magnet to allow students access back into the building at this door. 

Christmas Around the World

Guess what! I have had families who are learning from home reach out and ask if it would be permissible for them to take their children on a tour of Rose Park when we're all geared up with Christmas Around the World! Isn't that sweet? Research date (ish) will be November 23 (please feel free to flex with that any way you see suitable for your class). Can we have our learning on display by December 9? Remember each class has a $30 allowance for the experience! Let me know how I can help! 

In the intersection we will have a display set up representing the work of Tent Schools International. They are formerly known as World Wide Christian Schools. Tent Schools International identifies needs of school-aged children throughout the world and works to set up temporary schools, often in refugee camps, to meet the academic, emotional and spiritual needs of children. What a beautiful example of doing Kingdom work this side of heaven! You can learn a bit about them here.  While touring Rose Park and learning all about Jesus birth celebrated around the world, we will also have them learn about the pursuit of Christian education around the world through the eyes of this organization. Do you think we could help collect funds to purchase part of a tent Christian school? I will put the initiative in our blog. Will you take a peek at this website and begin talking about this with your students as the time nears? We will put a tent frame in the intersection and grow the tent based on the dollars contributed for the school tent purchase. Discovery Night
