Surprise!!!!

Teachers and staff....THANK YOU! Thank you for pouring so much of yourself and your time into such an amazing launch to the school year at Rose Park. I have received so many affirmative comments from parents/grandparents and it is just a JOY to see children settling into their new classroom families under your care. During Monday morning's recess they were brainstorming ways to say thank you to you. Some thought maybe all of the kids could wash the feet of the adults...then we thought well.....ya know.... So what if we washed the OTHER means of transportation that you get around in rather than your feet! Let's wash your car! So today's big surprise was your children's way of thanking you for the passion and energy you bring to your role here at Rose Park this week and EVERY week. Thank you for loving and accepting EACH of our children! Thank you for believing in them with the eyes of the Father! Each child is God's unique creation and deserves the love and respect you provide him/her! A sparkling clean-ish car is their attempt and putting a big smile on your face as you drive off the lot today into a long, well-deserved weekend. Enjoy the time, my friends. Enjoy creation. Enjoy your family and friends. Enjoy God! See you on Tuesday! YOU ARE LOVED!!!

Our Delta Assessment window is coming up! Please plan to lead your students through the Delta Math Assessment during the window which is open 9/3-9/20. Don't hesitate to ask if you need clarification or help.

If you are planning a field trip or need bussing for students for any matters, please use the link above in the future. This is in place of our paper requests. It expedites the process tremendously! Plus this keeps more trees alive! :)

Staff Meeting
Our Staff Meeting will take place after school on September 4 from 3:45-4:45.

If you are able, please copy and paste the following into your teacher blog:

Volunteer Background Check - To ensure the safety of our students at all times and in all places at Rose Park we ask that all adults be granted clearance prior to having access to students. Anyone who desires to assist students, chaperone a field trip or supervise in a classroom at Rose Park must stop in the school office and fill out a short background check form.  Mrs. Steenwyk and Mrs. Chase have that form for you. Please also have your driver's license as they will need to make a copy of it.  Mrs. Rynsburger is happy to answer any questions you have about the process or results. All results remain confidential. Thank you!

Homecoming 2019 Family Event
We love seeing as many of you possible back here on campus for our annual Homecoming Event, this year on Friday, September 13. It’s an all-ages community event, from high school students, elementary and preschool kids, young parents and grandparents, all gathering together to share a meal together, enjoy each others’ company, and then cheering the football team on. Just like before, the picnic dinner and children’s activities, including bouncy houses, lawn games and crafts, start at 5 pm, then the varsity football game against Unity Christian begins at 7 pm. Can't get enough of the HC love? Tickets also include admission to the Varsity Volleyball game vs. Unity at 4:30. The cost is $8 per person in advance, including both dinner and game, and tickets are available online at hollandchristian.org/homecoming-tickets, or at the HCS administration office. Or it’s $10 per person  on the day of the event. Note: Preschool & kindergarten families, look for an email from our Preschool Director on how you can join us for free as our way to welcome you to the HC community!
