Fall Assessment Window
Grades K-5
- 9/6/22 - 9/16/22 - NWEA MAP testing is set up and ready to go. Teachers should be able to login and give tests. NWEA MAP Growth Proctoring - K-5 - this guide may be helpful
- 9/6/22 - 9/16/22 - Delta Math should be set up for teachers to give the Fall screener. Delta Math Teacher Preparation Instructions. We received this note from the ISD about Delta Math:
Educators that had the building admin role last year can sign into the Data Manager and connect their building to their account so that they can help teachers prepare for screening. If any educators need their usernames and passwords please ask them to submit a Help Request at https://www.oaisd.org/deltamath/information-and- support/contact-us/ and I will send them their information.
- Please check over both testing spaces before 9/6/22 and make sure all is correct and all students are showing. Sometimes new students and students who change classrooms need to be added or adjusted where they show up. If there are any changes needed let Dan Vos know.
Playground Balls
Parent team is giving sets of balls to each classroom. Teachers, would you please write your name on the balls you will be given? Just a quick sharpie last name on each ball will do the trick!
Parent Board Funding
Teachers, you will receive parent board funds soon. Just naming it proactively to avoid confusion and awkward conversations in the future 😜 Items purchased using parent team funds (books, things for classrooms, etc) are considered property of HC. You are making purchase on behalf of your students with dollars from the parent community. Let me know if this feels confusing to you.
Schedule Tweak and Recess Re-Entry
Starting Tuesday, September 6 we will tweak our schedule.
Morning recess will now be 10:05-10:20
Afternoon recess will now be 2:00-2:15
We're working on our bells :)
To refresh our recess return norms:
- when recess is over, 3-5th grades line up by class at the doors. Yellow vest lets the children in. Teachers spread out throughout the hallway and supervise students' return to the classroom.
- K-2 grades line up in two big lines. Yellow vest lets the children in. Teachers station themselves in the hallway to help ensure a smooth behavioral transition back into the classroom, please.
Chapel
Chapel on Wednesday will be 3-5th grade. Our morning encore time will be abbreviated for 3-5th only:
After school on Wednesday. Among other items, Doug will be here to help us walk through each of our iObserve accounts and set goals! All teaching faculty please.
