As you know, we are THRILLED to welcome Candace Hoitenga to Rose Park! She is our wise and experienced behavioral interventionist! Candace is sharing an office space with Dinah in our main office. How does she support life at Rose Park? Candace is working with our identified tier 3 students, their teachers and their families. Per her instructions from HC, she supports the wellness and plans for children on her caseload. She is, of course, always willing to brainstorm about children because she LOVES them and has a plethora of ideas! But her regular caseload is her primary responsibility. Please see me if you have further questions. Or you can just ask her! :)
Boot Camp
I'm eager to work with you and our PBIS SLT to clarify some confusions about playground supervision with you. Yellow Vests, we'll see you Wednesday from 3:30-4:15! Looking forward to our work. 10 hut (is that a thing? is that what they say at boot camp?)
Discovery Night
November 9 is our first Discovery Night when we ALREADY welcome new potential families to Rose Park! Please take a peek at this sheet with the dates and assignments you were willing to serve at last year. If this works for you again this year, I thank you for participating. If this doesn't work for you, please let me know and we'll make the switch!
Instructional Schedule
Classroom teachers, would you please send me your weekly schedule? Any format will do. A photo of an old school planner, your calendar, a template you've created. However you keep your rhyme and rhythm straight, would you please send me a copy? Thank you!
Hoedown for Down Syndrome
The month of October is Down Syndrome Awareness month. We'd like to celebrate the MANY special people we have in our lives with Down Syndrome. We have a new baby sister, a high school sister, a little brother and even a student with Down Syndrome who add so much sunshine and joy to our lives. It's also helpful for our children to learn about and become comfortable with the fact that we are ALL created differently and Down Syndrome is one of the many ways we are created uniquely.
How about a Hoedown for Down Syndrome!
We're hoping you are able to push this special event into your schedule. How about from 1:45-2:45 on Wednesday, October 20? We'll meet together on the lawn of Rose Park and celebrate with many special friends from the high school's inclusion program as well. We'll have a country line dance lesson led by many special friends. Some musicians will be there helping provide the jam and even tables of autumn treats are planned! Wear your cowboy/cowgirl gear! More details will be forthcoming and we hope to make this an annual celebration for our children! We hope this fits into your schedule!
