Rest from your Labor

Matthew 11 rings true a bit after this start to our school year! "Come to me all who labor and are weary. I will give you rest." It's a long Labor Day weekend. You have served well and faithfully these past few weeks. We've had a plethora of emotions. Thank you for your faithfulness, your smiles and your willingness to choose to see the big picture! Rest well this weekend, my friends! Cooler temps and brighter days are ahead!

iObservation Lunch and Learn

Doug would like to meet with all teaching faculty on September 14 to familiarize you with iObservation. This may not be the last time we utilize a Lunch and Learn format. Please hold your lunch hour between 11:30-12:30 for this learning. You please bring your computer and fresh sense of adventure. Doug and I will bring the program instructions. Our wonderful kitchen staff will provide our yummies!

Playground Decisions

During our staff meeting on Wednesday, we decided to implement a few improvements to our systems to create an even SAFER environment for our kids.

While our kindergarteners and first graders are yet learning about recess end times and which door to access a teacher,  Hillary volunteered but certainly others can step in, will be sure to welcome the kinders and firsties back to the building and yellow vest please ensure no child is left behind.

2nd through 5th grade teachers, when it's time to come in, would you please make sure the adult at the door removes the door wedge and locks us in?

2nd through 5th grade teachers, please make sure you have stationed yourselves strategically throughout the hallway as your children are returning from recess. All eyes on deck are helpful at this time in the school day to create a smooth transition to learning in the classroom again.

The woods: K-2 play in the woods during morning recess. 3-5 play in the woods during afternoon recess. We might find it necessary to reteach the woods PBIS lesson again. I'll get that red flag flying this weekend....unless our health department decides to toss out a new mandate or two on Friday afternoon at 2:00

Grandparents Day Change

Due to concern about hosting hundreds of our dear grandparents ALL in the building at the same time, we're moving the date this year. We'll get these details together in the future but we'll be combining the spring program with Grandparents Day. Hold tight for further details!

Walk a thon

Our walk a thon packets have gone out. Your only responsibility at this point is to remember to collect the envelopes from children on the 10th. Hold the afternoon of the 15th open. We'll be bussed for our annual fun at the track that afternoon!
