We have one more spot available for our ODC naturalists on Wednesday! Anybody want in? 

State Farm Grant Money

Remember this brief note in the blog a few weeks ago? 

The turn around window for this application was incredibly tight so it was likely difficult to even consider squeezing in with very little advance notice. Over that weekend I submitted a few grant applications for Forest School, Rose Park and even for Pine Ridge ;) Each person could only submit one application so I used a few teachers' names (with permission) since we're all pulling in the same direction together! Our Rose Park application DID receive the dollars! $2,500 of them! These monies are intended for ALL of our Rose Park students to enjoy! We will purchase the following with the funding:

• a class set of large Oaki suits for upper elementary students' use outdoors
• a class set of small Oaki suits for early elementary students' use outdoors
• a few all terrain wagons for hauling learning supplies outdoors
• a class set of clipboards with a storage compartment
• all weather blankets to extend learning time outdoors
• a fire pit with a fitted lid for our outdoor learning area

Anybody that is interested in playing lacrosse this year, the sign-ups are now available online.
