October 8. We would like to celebrate this important relationship but do it COVID-friendly style. Have you had a chance to think this through? How can I help? Your students and parents will be informed in the October 1 blog that Grandparents Day will go virtual this year on October 8. Will you please communicate the necessary details with your parents through your blog? Please keep me in the loop with any help you need!

Grade Level Meeting Documentation for SCECHs
If you are planning to attend a conference and would like to receive SCECHs for your learning, please see this doc. We need to submit the agenda for the conference to Erin 40 days prior to the conference for approval of SCECH credit.
Encore Teachers Parent/Teacher Conferences
Encore teachers, we will offer to our parents that they may reach out to you if they'd like a conversation during parent/teacher conferences. This will allow you to choose your day/time of conference that is convenient for you.
Grade Level Meetings
General education teachers, would you please invite me to a grade level meeting you are holding in the next few weeks? I'd like to run a proposal past you for input and we won't use our next staff meeting to think this through.
Staff Meeting
Our next staff meeting will be a workshop around Google Classroom (3rd-5th) and SeeSaw (preschool-2nd) norms in case of phase 3 learning. This will take place on Oct. 7 from 3:30-4:15.

Help Wanted
Holland Christian Schools is seeking people who want to build up and encourage young people and families through providing regular school bus transportation for students. Hours are flexible. We are seeking applicants who demonstrate a love for kids, careful, conscientious driving habits, and an interest in providing a needed service to the families of Holland Christian. Preschool Drop Off
Your sweet children are becoming so comfortable walking right into school, unpacking at their locker and heading into their classroom. Thank you for entrusting us with your little ones. We still hover nearby making sure the transition from your hands and heart to our hands and heart is a smooth one. As the weather begins to cool down or turn more autumn like, please feel free to wait to bring your child to the door until 8:15. Our doors open and teachers are ready by 8:15 to welcome them into the school day. We'll save the good seats for you no matter what time you arrive! Thank you!
