Thank you for your patience with me over the past two weeks. It's been quite an experience to journey through this COVID-19 with a front row seat. I'm so grateful to each of you for your concern, prayers and friendship! Truly, Rose Park is such a special group of Christ's servants. You never want to be the focus of prayerful concern...but when the time comes, boy it sure brings comfort and peace knowing loving people are carrying your burden through a time of valley living. I'm happy to report that Cam has been released from isolation this week. He met the protocol given by the health department. Some of you know that I am considered a positive case as well. I suppose this is part of the job hazard of parenting :) I am on day two of no meds and am even drinking coffee again! Hope it on the horizon! We are so grateful our symptoms have been manageable at home. Our prayer and concern still remain for those suffering with much more complicated symptoms. I hope and pray that each of you are healthy and well!
Staff Meeting
Please email me by Friday at 1:00 if you are NOT available to meet next Wednesday, May 6 at 3:30 for a Rose Park staff meeting. I'll confirm with you tomorrow afternoon if this timeframe works and then send out the Zoom invite or go back to the drawing board. FS, we'll hold our meeting the following week.
Class Lists
Would you please begin thinking about your class list drafts for next year? There is no official communication going out to the parent community from building principals because the feeling is parents are inundated with communications already. We can talk this through at our staff meeting.
Staffing updates to come early next week to aid in your placement processing!
Report Cards
The narrative format is going to be finalized on Monday. Thank you for providing feedback to Erin. I will have details for you ASAP.
Batons...
...are optional this year. They will not be passed out at the close of the year as we traditionally have done but can be passed out next year in the fall.
End of Year Closing
Man...feels like we need some sort of special closing for our students and families this year. Would you start spinning your wheels in the creative space thinking about some form of an emotional/meaningful send off/thank you to families? We need to say good-bye to our fifth and sixth graders in a special way as well. Some of them have been at Rose Park for NINE YEARS! How can we acknowledge the blessing they have been to Rose Park without meeting with them in person? This is a tall order but I bet we can think of some good ideas. We'll talk about this at the staff meeting as well.
