The First Week of School is a Monday Week + Whole School Chapel

Friends! What a week! Thank you for your commitment to your students in ALL of the learning and ALL of the preparation! Thank you for your commitment to serving God with your BEST! There was SO much good learning alongside of SO much necessary preparation! FWEEW! I know this has been draining as a first week back. It takes a strong backbone to hold up a full head and a full heart! I pray your full heart is what allows you to smile and relax this weekend! Our children came back!!! And so many new faces to learn and love as well! In all of the meetings and work it was easy to feel like summer flew by. Didn't we JUST leave? But then, when seeing the children yesterday....they were so much BIGGER! They all must have been eating so well this summer! Missing more teeth, inches taller, new glasses, new hair styles....oh my! It has been three months and it's time to have them back! So thank you for navigating and investing in this week. Have a restful, fun-filled weekend and let's DO this! God is blessing the works of your hands and heart!

This was funny! Ice Cream Social night....there's a teachable moment on opportunistic economics here!

Transportation for 2022-2023

  • They accommodate 8-10 people (including the driver).
  • They can be driven by any HCS staff member with a valid state of Michigan driver's license.
  • They are stored at the HC bus garage

Amie Winningham

Our First Grade Family is now in place at Rose Park! Praise God! Amie Winningham is eagerly prepared to teach full time first grade this year. God has gently led her to this decision and we are SO grateful! ANY tips and tricks from other full-time working mamas....send them her way! Amie? I'll tell you all about my chart and breakfast boxes! Maybe we need to run a "circle" on mom hacks (ifykyk)! Thank you, ALL, for warmly embracing and supporting our Amie!

Beth Cunningham

Did you see that celebratory ESS Inclusion classroom space yet? Welcome, Beth! And thank you for already using your gifts to create a safe space for children who walk the scenic route as they are growing and developing! Thank you for your expertise and intentionality in serving as our new ESS inclusion teacher!!!! Welcome to Rose Park in this NEW role!

First Chapel

Chapel on WEDNESDAY will be held outside and will be with the WHOLE school at 10:45. We'll meet in the same spot that we closed the year on the last day of school.

Other chapels

When we have half the school for chapel, Matt Veenstra has graciously offered us the band room. This will allow for a more gentle transition in the WELL for lunch. I'll remind you of this when the time comes!
