Here we go friends! The Spring Program followed by our dear Grandparents/friends Day! It's a big two days! Thank you for your support and grace as we work to bring back the spring program for all of our elementary students. This is a huge endeavor. Your positivity, grace and support is what will make this event special and memorable. Let's talk through logistics of the next two days:
THURSDAY:
Please plan to park at Peace Lutheran Church tomorrow morning AND Friday morning! Grandparents will be visiting already tomorrow morning due to preschool Grandparents Day!
Please have your students fed, bathroomed, washed-ish by 12:30. We're loading up and heading over for our only rehearsal. Here is the bussing reminder:
Klipp-Lopez, Bos, Brouwer & Cupery - (69 students) Bus #121
Dokter, Miller, Scott & Schebor - (64 students) Bus #3
Cantu 2nd & 3rd, Hossink & Snoeyink - (62 students) Bus #651
Vanderzwaag, Rietman & Vos - (61 students) Bus #841
We'll ALL begin in our green room area first. Gather your class in the Student Center and, once we've all arrived, you will hear grade levels being called to find their spots on the risers or stage floor. You know your students best! Please line them up so they are surrounded by friends who support them positively rather than challenge them behaviorally.
We will rehearse until we feel ready. Think of this a bit like a "walk up" choir at church. We're not a broadway show. We are children from every school bringing praises to Jesus with what we have to bring: our hearts! Thank you again for the grace and positivity.
Teachers arrive in our Student Center at 6:30 to gather your class and be prepared for walking into the sanctuary at 6:50. Showtime is 7:00.
FRIDAY:
Please plan to park at Peace Lutheran Church tomorrow morning AND Friday morning! Grandparents will be filling our lot again with every space we've got.
Snacks will be provided for grandparents in the intersection. There will also be a "photo booth" in the intersection for a special memory maker our parent team would like to offer. Nothing required from you other than to perhaps allow children time to wander to the intersection for the photo.
We will do our best to hold the crowd back until 1:00. At 1:00 we'll open the gates and they'll come to classrooms! By 2:00 I will come over the innercom to thank our special guests for visiting and then it's time for recess. Some children may go home with their grandparents if you have been given parent permission. We'll have recess from 2:00-2:20. Find a quiet hole to rest in! One final push to the weekend! 😅
Thank you for ALL you do to make these special events a memory maker for our children and families! I'm feelin' ya that these days are a LOT of work! Keep digging deep for positivity and hold onto that Easter glow! Centering our children on our good, good Father is our WHY! I believe when it's 3:25 on Friday, God will be smiling on the work of our hands and impact MANY hearts for his glory!
