Unresolved Minors
Please remember that, during the month of February, you are selecting one week during which you are tracking unresolved minors in our SWIS form for your classroom.
PD on 21st
Unit of study that includes standards, learning targets, a sequence of instruction and assessments (bringing a MAISA Unit might be really easy for this but the choice is totally yours).
An example of a Guided Reading Group (K-2) or small group lesson (3-5th) that you have implemented in your classroom since collaboration day and be prepared to share about what you did, how students responded, bring your conferring system or planning sheets and overall be prepared to discuss how small group instruction is going in your classroom.
Agenda for the Day
- 7:30 a.m. coffee and breakfast food available
- 8:00 a.m. Welcome and Inclusion with prayer and songs of praise (gathered in the HS auditorium)
- 8:15 a.m. Faith integration and critical content connections to Depth of Knowledge (DOK)
- 9:00 a.m Becky Bush with relevance and rigor (DOK)
- 10:30 a.m. Departments and Grade Level work applying relevance and rigor to a unit of study (at various locations in the HS)
- Elementary can meet as grade levels groups even though you might not all be working on the same unit… any space where you see fit on main street or in any open HS classrooms. I will walk around to find you once the work session gets started.
- Lunch provided
- 12:30 p.m. Report out by building at separate locations in the high school
- Elementary will meet in the lecture hall
- 1:15 p.m. Building level meetings
- Small Group Sharing and Reflections
- 3:00 p.m. Adjourn

Just a reminder, we have such a spread of ages throughout our building that we decided not to do anything corporately. It certainly is a fun date to celebrate, however! If you can connect timelines, dates, place value, patterns or a tutu to the day, feel free to make it a memorable celebration of God's faithfulness in our lives century after century!

Lunch and Learn on March 3
Please mark your calendars! Mary has morsels to share in person. We'll provide lunch. You provide the curiosities and perhaps a device! 3rd-5th in the 11:35-11:55 window. K-2 in the 12:00-12:25 window. Preschool, you're welcome to join if/as you are able!
Skating Party
Some of you were in the office when our parent team was trying to land on a skating party date. They have concluded it's not going to line up on a week that doesn't already have a lot going on. We'll wait until next fall, Lord willing, to hold our next skating party. So that Danielle can get her skating fix, maybe we should all roll on over to her driveway and buzz back and forth a bit in our disco garb!
Spring Program/Grandparents Day
Details are starting to come together. Our Preschool-5th spring program will take place with ALL elementary students at Central Wesleyan. The program will line up with Grandparents Day this year so that we can consolidate the two events. April 21 in the evening will be our program. We are finalizing details for Grandparents Day will be shared with you ASAP!
Fine Arts Night
Due to our big program this year, we will not be holding a fifth grade Fine Arts Night this spring.
