Book Fair
A note from the Book Fair committee (just by way of refresher, the media center receives a nice boost in funding when our book fair is successful):
Tuesday May 18th is wishlist making day. Teachers can bring their classes to the book fair, which will be set up outside in the front, create wishlists between 9 & noon. We will send a copy of their wish list home with the student & we will save a copy to have for parents if the wishlist doesn’t make it home
Thursday May 20th & Friday May 21st the book fair will be open for parents to shop from 11:30-4. We will be set up outside. We will also be open for online orders all week. Thanks so much!!
Storage Room Need Purging
Our storage room is showing signs of growing up and becoming a dump rather than a storage room....not unlike the utility drawer in my home! Please plan to spend a few minutes together with your grade level colleagues and make executive decisions to DUMP items that are broken or obsolete. Rose Park is growing and we need the space! This is a good problem!
Garbage can be placed in the rolling dumpster, which will be located at the entrance of the storage room. Please roll your garbage to the dumpster.
Ditto donations (if the items are in EXCEPTIONALLY good shape) can be piled in small gym.
The goal is for this work to be completed before June 11. Feel free to attack this task anytime between now and then! THANK YOU!
Popsicles on the Playground
100% of our respondents are in favor of gathering the class together as a community prior to the ice cream social this summer. Thank you for your willingness to literally go the extra mile. Your summer months are precious and time so well deserved! Thank you for being willing to put that teacher hat on in the summer and start building relationships! We don't know what the ice cream social will look like yet but gathering outside for a "get to know you" time IS permissible and so deeply appreciated! We will provide you with your class parent emails by June 4. Once class lists go out, please decide when it suits your schedule and heart best to welcome them to a one-hour, casual event. It can be on the playground, at the beach, your backyard, a park, your choice!
Data Meeting Week
We have second grade on the books! Anybody else? Check in with your grade level colleague and let me know what day/time works best for you to analyze our learners' data.
Class Lists Proposals
Please finalize the week of May 24. I'm happy to help you brainstorm and think out way through the combinations.
Batons
Please pass batons to your kids on the last day of school.
Report Cards and MAP scores
Will be printed for you if you are able to submit your scores by 8:00 am on Wednesday, June 2.
Final Chapel
We will hold our final chapel in person on Wednesday, June 2 (weather permitting). Let's plan to meet together in the same area of the playground we met for Cinco de Mayo at 10:30. More details to come!
