That's a Wrap, Quarter 1!

Thank you, Marti! 

Marti Douthitt has been an integral part of the team that feeds our Rose Park family for many, many years. We thank her tremendously for her service to our children (and hungry big people!) Marti has decided it is time to step away from this role and take a new position. Her last day at Rose Park will be on October 22. We will celebrate and thank her for her service at HC on that day with a special treat. More details on that to come. In the meantime, when you see her, please be sure to thank her for her work and let your students know to thank Mrs. Douthitt for her work!

Report Cards

If you would, please, would you let Diane, Carla or me know when you have your class report cards completed? We will get those printed and stuffed for you. Just to ensure we have time to run off reports for everyone, would you please complete them by Wednesday, October 16? Please don't hesitate to talk with me if you can't make it by that date. We'd like to have all 1st-6th grade report cards go home in backpacks on Friday, October 18. Thank you!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

It will be a full week, won't it! Monday and Tuesday, October 21 and 22 are our parent/teacher conferences from 4:00-8:00. Dinner will be served by our gracious parent team from 6:00-6:30. Let's do this together! As a reminder, here are the expectations for the "agenda" at each conference:

Book Allowance! 

As was mentioned in a previous blog post, parent board has offered to purchase books for your classroom libraries! Thank you, parent board! The following denotes the allowances for each classroom: 

• $100 for preschool teachers, art teacher and Spanish teachers
• $150 for full time classroom teachers
• $200 for new teachers 

Please send me the link for your book order from a vendor of your choice and we'll beef up your libraries. Let me know if you have questions!
