Wet and Wild

Oh my friends! You have earned your stripes today!! Indoor recess on Halloween. And yet, in spite of those horrible learning conditions, amazing moments were happening all throughout the day because that's just the kind of committed staff you are! Those of you who engaged in math differentiation work with colleagues across town, I hope you feel good about the work accomplished. Those who welcomed Dennise to share "Just Ask", I hope you were blessed and inspired. Those who took a deep breath, stayed patient, smiled and kept on with the learning, I hope you are blessed with a fun-filled evening! We just have a few dates for you calendar in the blog this week:

Beautiful Gate Chapel
We have been invited to join with the precious children at Beautiful Gate in a time of worship and praise. Sheila, we may even be treated to a peek at Jillian!! They are seven hours ahead of us and typically hold chapel at 3:00. On 11/20, can we hold our chapel at 8:30 am? Shall we talk about this at the staff meeting? If we are able to accommodate the time change request, we'll FaceTime in with these little ones and sing together for a bit. We'll also have a high school student come and share the experiences God blessed her with during her time at Beautiful Gate! 


Staff Meeting
Next Wednesday, November 5. We'll begin at 3:30 and wrap up by 4:15. 

Spring Program
We have a date but it's a weird one: March 31. Christ Memorial no longer rents their sanctuary on Thursday evenings. Tuesday evenings throughout April are loaded with prearranged events. That moves us to Tuesday...I know...right before Spring Break. But, hey! That way we go into break with a beautiful program still ringing in our hearts. So, please plan for our spring program to be held at Christ Memorial on Tuesday, March 31 and it's going to be amazing! :D 

Goat Meeting
The zoning board has agreed to hear our case! Next Tuesday, November 5 at 7:00 our amendment request will be considered. At the portion of the meeting designated for public commenting we'll have two students read their persuasive essays (who could refuse a Rose Parker?!?)😉 After that we'll await their decision to determine how we'll proceed. Funny side note: since working behind the scenes so closely with the zoning board to attempt to pull this off I've now been asked to serve on the township commission board. 😂😅 I was just hoping for goats, not a new part time job! Well, if you need to talk to a township trustee pull up a chair! That's me!
